San Gabriel’s Secret

San Gabriel’s Secret

An Adam Thomas Mystery

Nestled on the San Gabriel River in Central Texas’ Hill Country, Georgetown is a small town where things are normally pretty quiet. That is, until Adam Thomas, a retired scientist and now writer of a newspaper column for women under the name Aunt Kay, inherits a Confederate soldier’s journal and a murder.

Adam and his girlfriend Kathy find themselves the center of dark doings and racing headlong into a fast paced, high stakes adventure to untangle a murderous puzzle, a series of macabre organizations and locate the centuries old San Gabriel Secret.

The book also has some of Adam’s Aunt Kay household handy hints newspaper columns in it.

This book with Adam Thomas and his girlfriend has more twists and turns than a pretzel. Good likeable characters and a lot of action and surprises. Trying to read one chapter a night before going to bed was impossible. The cliffhangers at the end of the chapters kept me turning the pages. This should be a movie. I see why this won an award.

Setting is in familiar territory and plausible historically. Another great thriller/mystery by this author. Looking forward to the two new books due out in 2014.

Who’s Your Friend? Who’s Your Enemy?

5.0 out of 5 stars

A journalist inherits a confederate journal the contents of which lead him and his attorney girlfriend on the treasure hunt of a lifetime. Suddenly many people are interested in the journal. A relative of the deceased, government agents, and a woman who says she is with the government and wants to help in the search. But, Who’s their friend? Who can they trust?…What is this treasure and will they find what it is they are looking for? David Ciambrone’s past employment background brings life and reality to his characters in this really good read. I know I’ll read more of his work.
